Although the theory failed at last, it contained lots of valuable ideas. I hope to master the theory on a deeper level and analyze its modern values so that we can take advantages of it in our country's modernization construction.Through analyzing the modem values of the country construction ideology, the dissertation considers that the modern values of Liang Shuming's country construction embodies in the following aspects.First the dissertation discusses the era background and the theory foundation of Liang Shuming's country construction, and discusses how Liang Shuming originated it and brought it into effect. Then the dissertation emphasizes on the status and the action of education in the country construction. Liang Shuming realized the importance of education in the country. He believed that education could improve the development of the country. Although the country education ideals of Liang Shuming couldn't come true under the social conditions of the time, what we should learn is his spirit of emphasizing on education. His exploring in educational content and methods is benefit to today's country education.In China, the majority of people live in country areas. It wouldn't be too early to promote county labor's culture quality to construct country areas. But to achieve this goal, education is essential. So, with today's deepening reforming, it is useful to study education ideas of Liang Shuming and absorb the lessons from it. It is used for reference in today's socialism education system of Chinese characteristic, and promoting country education reform.Second, it emphasizes the important role of science and technology in promoting country economics. Liang Shuming advocated in using advanced science and technology to develop agriculture. In his practice of country construction, he fetched in all kinds of advanced technology, and devoted himself to the course of agriculture improvement. Today, developing agriculture by using advanced technology is a trend all through the world. Science and technology is a key factor in the course of developing from traditionalagriculture to modem agriculture. Reform and opening improves the development of agriculture technology and the consciousness of science and technology of the peasants. But during the course of spreading the science and technology, we inevitably meet a lot of problems. Liang Shuming's practice in country construction is used for reference in the development of agriculture.Third, it realizes the important role of the intellectuals in improving the country society. Liang Shuming hoped to solve the problems of China by uniting the intellectuals to the country residents. Because of the confinement of the history conditions and the cognition level, Liang Shuming couldn't complete the task of intellectuals' leading peasants to realize agriculture's modernization. But that he called on intellectuals to teach peasants new technology and construct country accompany with peasants has modern meaning in today's country construction.Forth, it advocates realizing modernization on the base of Chinese traditional culture. Liang Shuming advocated in creating modern culture basing on inheriting and abolishing of traditional culture and absorbing of foreign culture, which could promote social modernization.
