Challenges Facing The Era Of Knowledge Economy Information Services And Countermeasures

In the 21st century with the rapid development of information technology,our society has been stepping into a new times -- Knowledge Economic Times.In the process of the development of knowledge economy, information service industry is facing more challenges and opportunities. How to meet the challenges,, to grab at the opportunities and to survive and grow are urgent problems. This paper is aiming to make a study in this aspect.This paper, firstly, makes a comprehensive analysis of the concept of knowledge economy and the effect that the progress of Information technology and information industry has impacted upon. Furthermore it also analyses the relationship between information industry and information service industry, an important function performed by information service industry on knowledge economy, and change of environment and its effect brought by the development of knowledge economy to information service industry. Finally it summarizes the main problems that information service industry is facing and makes a conclusion: information service industry must make best use of i'ts advantages and make up its weak points, through analyzing and summing up the successful case -- Dialog System and China Economic Information Network.Accordingly the paper brings forward the policies and strategies on macroscopic and microcosmic side in order to cause information service industry to develop more quickly.
