The concept of state sovereignty is a historical one. So people have different understandings on its concept and contents in different periods. But the main and traditional ideas of state sovereignty demonstrate that it is absolute supreme indivisible and unalienable. However, the rapid development of the globalization brings unprecedented challenge to this kind of supreme power. Some western scholars take it as a chance to debase and deny the theory of state sovereignty and form some trend of thought on this topic. Thus, state sovereignty is challenged both in practice and in theory. This paper aims to make people have further knowledge of state sovereignty by analyzing the anti-sovereignty theories and the challenges it faces in the age of globalization, so that the principle can be re-comprehended and re-explained. Based on this is the adoption of this theory with the globalization in order to make it more useful and practical. Of course, this paper is not trying to reconstruct this theory in the age of globalization because the author has not had enough knowledge of it and has to study more on it. This paper is only trying to give the author's own opinion on the challenge development and the change of the principle of state sovereignty. The basic topic of the paper is that: the principle of state sovereignty today is still the basis and premise that can not be surpassed to constitute international relations. We should insist on the core sovereignty and properly adjust the non-core sovereignty in theory and practice. In the paper, the author unfolds the route of thought by stating the development of the traditional idea of state sovereignty. Then analyzes all kinds of challenges to state sovereignty in the process of globalization. And then explains some western theories that debase or deny the theory of state sovereignty (This is also the theoretic challenge to state sovereignty and the principle of sovereignty as well as the views of some western scholars on thechallenge to state sovereignty against the background of globalization.). Finally, expound the author's opinion on the subjective and objective erosion, and then giving a generalization and summary to the state sovereignty in the age of globalization. According to this, the paper will make some discussion in the following three parts:The first part mainly analyses the various factors that challenge state sovereignty in the course of globalization. In this part, ten factors, or concrete problems are explained. They are science and technology, global extension of market economy, transnational corporation, international organization, non-governmental organization, global issues, international intervention and the action of maintaining world peace, the western-oriented cultural hegemony, the wave of nationalism and the new social movements. Finally, the characters of the erosion are concluded. In the second part, by introducing the theories that debase and deny state sovereignty in the age of globalization, the paper tries to indicate the theoretical challenges on the state sovereignty against the background and the views over the global challenges from some western scholars. These theories are as follow: 1. The Economic restriction-the theory of state declination: the final result of globalization is the gradual loss of the state power, mainly speak of economy. 2.The moral restriction-human rights is superior to state sovereignty: denying and limiting state sovereignty with human rights. 3. The Action Restriction-the new interventionism: to intervene the state sovereignty and the civil affairs of other countries on the excuses of "democracy" "freedom" "human rights" and "humanism". 4. The Regime restriction-the theory of global governance: the central supposition of this theory is the incapacity of the state. The power is weakened in the aspects of handling the global issues and solving the global conflicts. The state should solve the issues and conflicts through the international regimes, while the state doesn't entirely monopolize all the...
