As a sign of the New Economy, comes the "Broadband Age". In recent years, the construction of the Broadband IP MAN and Multi-media Broadband Backbone Network is like the raging fire.Following the trend, Dalian Digital Technology Company Inc. (Abbr. DLDT) was founded. The company aims to integrate the network resources and strengths to concentrate on the construction of Dalian broadband MAN.In order to know the subscriber's demand for the broadband access and VAS to make out the efficient market strategy, DLDT made a marketing research about Dalian broadband access market and the VAS market in July of 2001. With the methods of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, the program studies both sides of the demand and supply and collects the required data and information from different resources. On this basis, the analysis and forecast of the whole Dalian broadband market is made.The research reveals, that the household subscribers are the main part in Dalian broadband market, which are very sensitive to the higher access charges. Comparatively, the enterprise subscribers will take the benefits brought by the broadband application into account prior to the charges. Regarding the access technology, it is estimated that ADSL will be in a dominant position and develop rapidly. By contraries, Dalian broadband VAS market is nearly at a beginning. However, it will develop rapidly according to the forecast.Based on the above-mentioned marketing research, and referring to the foreign and domestic experiences in this field, this thesis makes some suggestions about the market strategy to DLDT.
