China's socialist construction has ever experienced smooth marching period as well as difficult developing period. Moreover it has experienced the years of upheaval without precedent in history. At last, a new road of reform and opening, and building China characteristic socialism was opened. Till now, China's reform and opening policy has existed for more than 20 years. Continuous deepening of reform and opening policy reminds people to profoundly understand Mao Zedong practice and thought. Building China characteristic socialism is our socialist new development in Mao Zedong era. Deng Xiaoping Theory is the second historical leap for the integration of Marxism and China's practice, and is the inheritance and development of Mao thought. The practice of building socialism with Chinese characteristics has brought Chinese future vigor and success, and has shown the great advantages of socialism. This cannot but attract the people to study Mao Zedong's hard exploration for Chinese socialist construction road again, to look for its essence, and to make clear its weak points and the reasons, so as to summarize enlightening experiences and lessons. Here, the primary topic is to analyze from the perspective of methodology, because methods are the bridge to reach the target. The application of methods has direct relationship with the success of practice. This is the reason that promote the formation of this thesis.The paper is divided into four parts:Part 1: To discuss the background for Mao Zedong's exploration of Chinese socialist construction road. In this part, historical conditions, tasks, and thought preparations of the exploration are analyzed.Part 2: To discuss the methodology for Mao Zedong's exploration of Chinese socialist construction road. This part is the focus of this paper. Along with Mao's 20 years' exploration steps from the middle of 1950s to the middle of 1970s, to study the difficult development of his late methodology. After preliminary analysis according to its basic tendency, it is concluded that there are three twists and turns.Part 3: To discuss the enlightenment of Mao Zedong's exploration of Chinese socialist construction road from three perspectives. The emphasis is that the policy of emancipating the mind and seeking truth from facts must be insisted on during the course of building socialism with Chinese characteristics.Part 4: To discuss Deng Xiaoping's inheritance and development to Mao Zedong on methodology.The thesis has about 35,000 words.
