Theoretical Research Of Xi Zhongxun’s Ideological And Political Work

Xi Zhongxun, an excellent Chinese Communist Party member, a great communist fighter and an outstanding proletarian revolutionist, had a firm belief in communism and showed his entire devotion to the cause of the proletarian revolution. As a time-tested and distinguished political leader in our Party and Military, one of the major founders and leaders in the revolutionary base area of the Shanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region, and the founding father and pioneer of Guangdong reform and opening-up, Mr. Xi Zhongxun, in the more than70-year revolutionary career, not only had made indelible contributions to the cause of the Chinese people’s liberation and the socialist construction, but also by decades of practice, had created the valuable spiritual wealth in the field of theory on the ideological and political work..Xi Zhongxun’s theory on ideological and political work is a system of the scientist theory built on the thought about the new-democratic revolution, socialist revolution and socialist construction under the guidance of fundamental principles of the Marxist ideological and political education. This paper, with Marxism as the research indicator, tries to make an elaboration on the system of theory on Xi Zhongxun’s ideological and political work from the combination of theory and practice, history and reality by using the analytic method for historical documents based on the present research results. It reveals and discusses the contemporary revelation of Xi Zhongxun’s theory by analyzing and concluding Xi Zhongxun’s ideological and’ political work during the period of his administration in the north-west part of China and Guangdong, and working in the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).The paper is consisted of the preface, the text and the conclusion. The preface focuses on the research significance, current research status and research thoughts and methods of Xi Zhongxun’s theory.Next, the text includes four’chapters. Chapter one analyzes the major contents of Xi Zhongxun’s adhering to the Mass Line when he was assigned to lead the north-west part of China. Chapter two analyzes the major contents of the reform and opening-up and the emancipation of mind when he was assigned to lead Guangdong province. Chapter three analyzes the great importance attached by Xi Zhongxun to the Party building and united front work when he worked in the CPC Central Committee, especially, served as the secretary of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee. Chapter four discusses the contemporary enlightenment of his theory.At last, the conclusion emphasizes that Xi Zhongxun’s theory on ideological and political work has a far-reaching historical significance and an important practical significance, worthy of our further exploration and research.
