Jinan Iron And Steel Metering Management Information System Evaluation And Improvement

Today, MIS(Management Information System) is used widely in every field. There is a deep relationship between information and management and the systematic information forms MIS. The iron and steel industry will be facing with severe competition after China joining the WTO. If a steel enterprise want to be a success in the competition severely, the standardized and modern management is important.JiNan Iron & Steel Group is a state-own oversize enterprise, of which the Measure-manage Department is an important department. The main work include material and energy measuring, data collecting, instrument calibrating. It' s an important foundation of manufacture and management. In the last few years, some work has been done on information system, for instance, material information and data-manage LAN. But it only replace the parts of heavy handwork, and the system can' t be applied its action sufficiently.Based on the investigation and analysis of the MIS of JiNan Iron & Steel Group and its Measure-manage Department, the article focuses on estimating the development status of four measure-manage sub-systems from technical, organization and management. By analyzing the key factors, which restrict the Measure-manage Department MIS establishing, the article put forward the detailed executive solution and provide some recommendations for the MIS of the whole enterprise.
