| The academic field has been paying attention to the research on the structure of organizations and running mode concerning commercial insurance companies for a long time, these researches almost focus on structural description and functional compartmentalization. And the concerning theses are mainly about introducing the managing practice in developed countries. In practice the managers always give priority to business operation and financial solidity such as market share, the ability to profit, solvency and asset-liability-management. There come four reasons for this situation. Firstly, the academic research is enslaved to the evolution of practice. Secondly, the emphasis on business diverts the scholar's attention owing to its actualization and convenience. Thirdly, the theories of finance management and investment in insurance companies have developed more mature compared with fundamental research on insurance companies and have been less influenced by basic study such as economics, system theory, behavior theory and mathematics which means higher difficulty and more indeterminacy. Lastly, the importance of basic research on commercial organize need further comprehension. In fact, the extensive and fundamental study on insurance companies have been becoming more and more necessary because of insurance companies' socialization and tremendous economic influence, economic transform and rapid application of technology. The fundamental research is essentially a kind of cooperation in different disciplines, which makes the research on insurance organize no longer based on a unitary bedrock but draw nourishments fromcorrelative disciplines. The principal part is introducing the theory of Complex System (CS), but it emphasizes particularly on some examples in order to increase the adaptability. That is to say, the theoretical research is oriented by the application in the organizational structure and business running in insurance companies. The corresponding positive analysis and practical examples are under the framework of theory. Now the author concludes some of the research results and applied possibilities according to the order of logic.The main thought in this thesis logically is rooted in the new progress in institutional economics research, especially institutional analysis. Its theoretical kernel lies in the study of the flux of economic system and its interaction with society, politics, history and culture from the point of view of integration, relation, metaphysics & development and historical concepts. In some application researches the thought of institutional analysis and the methods of multi-discipline integrating have been used extensively, and these two own special value when it come to post the flux of economic system and the limitation in the economic behavior. Compared with simple economic analysis, multi-discipline integrating helps to offer more systemic and more convictive result. As for the organizational structure and operation mechanism in commercial insurance companies, the author has made some contrasts and analyses according to the reality in China. When comparing and analyzing different organizational patterns, the author discusses the operational mode little because the choice of operational mode is determined by organizational pattern(1) with crucial status. The thesis does not give any affirmatory choice for the organizational pattern and operational mode of commercial insurance companies. Under the framework of CS, any singular and absolute judgment is susceptible. Under the situation that matrix organize, study style organize and non-boundary organize have mushroomed today, our choice ought to be based on the given circumstance and target.(2) The components influencing the organizational structure and operational mode become a pivot.
