Space Military Confrontation

Space military countermeasure means a military countermeasure action in which at least one side of both hostiles uses the space military force. And it always focuses on exploitation and anti-exploitation and control and anti-control of space. According to a large quantity of foreign and domestic data, it is described and analyzed in this dissertation that the definition, development, and motivation of space military countermeasure, and its influence on the competition of comprehensive national power are dealt with. On the basis of these researches, it is considered that the space military countermeasure is essentially different from the land one, because of the complexity of the space environment, the integration of the space technology, the special position of space for military strategy, and easy to be damaged of the space equipment systems. Firstly, space military force only can be a comprehensive military power with the guidance of the space fight theory and the technology of space military countermeasure which formation depends on virtual simulation. Secondly, the form of space military countermeasure is different from that of land battle which includes the 'space-land' battle and 'space-space' battle. Comparing with land military countermeasure, the space has some natural features as follows: asymmetry in attack and defense, 'soft' destruction, concealment and rapidness of countermeasure. Finally, it is pointed out that the space peace is unrealistic at present stage of world development. The present situation of the development of space military force in our country is reviewed, some considerations are brought forward about it, such as the ruler of development depending on ourselves, the reasonable developing strategy conforming to the special situation of our country, and emphasis on development both on 'symmetry' and 'asymmetry'.
