The advent of the knowledge economy makes people's working and living style, learning and managing mode undergo a fundamental change. The foundation of the knowledge economy is the high-tech company. In order to survive and develop, the high-tech company, faced with the ever changing development of the technology and intense civil and international competition, must bring into full play the employee's creativity. However, employees in the high-tech business are highly educated knowledgeable talents with the specialized knowledge, little fidelity to the company, strong sense of self-fulfillment and exclusiveness of their respective knowledge. So the motivation to the employees is extremely important for the high-tech company.This article applies the method of theory analysis linked with practice, analyzes the problems existing in the high-tech company motivation, and proposes principles and methods to establish an all-round motivation system. This research is a realistic job with important theoretical value which will be highly conducive to the wholesome development of the high-tech company and the knowledge economy of China.The motivation is the most important and basic function of modern management. From the beginning of the 20th century, the management theorist, psychologists and sociologists have proposed many motivation theories. Each theory has its reasonable as well as one-sided features. They can only, to some extent, motivate the employee's creativity and initiative. They can't solve the problem once and for all. The modern research on motivation theory has taken on some new trends. First, the motivation to the manager of the company has increasingly become the key point of the research. Second, the research has been gradually converted from the motivation mode to the design of the company system. The property right scholars, the human capital theory and the development of modern information technology all contribute to the research on motivation theory.Nowadays, there are many problems with the motivation of the high-tech company. The main issue is the deficiency of the motivation to the senior human resources as well as the lack of the property right motivation system. The motivation system tends to be unitary and without a clear aim.The high-tech company should stick to the following principles:A. The dual application of material and spiritual motivation while putting the emphasis on the latter.B. The comprehensive application of the multi and all-round motivation system.C. The preferential application of property right motivation mode.D. The principle of differentiation.E. Keeping up with the time and tide.To solve the problem once and for all, the all-round motivation system should be established. The multiple motivation system such as the material and spiritual motivation, the interior and exterior motivation, and the short term and long-range motivation should be comprehensively applied so as to form a multi-dimensional motivation system. In the writer's opinion, the motivation system of high-tech company should be established from five aspects: company's property right system, the organization structure of the company, the comprehensive salary system, enterprise culture and training as well as career development plan...
