The most important resource in knowledge society is not capital, land, or labour, but knowledge. The main carrier of knowledge in this society is the brains of knowledge workers, so any company who wants to exist and develop must depend on highly productive knowledge workers. But knowledge worker productivity is still too low so that it is necessary to enhance it.The topic of my thesis is the motivation mechanism for knowledge worker in high-tech company. Firstly, based on an investigate, I find the main incentive factors of knowledge worker. They are personal growth, money, achievement, and self-determination. Secondly, I establish a motivation model used for incenting knowledge workers in high-tech companies. Finally, I provide five measures for motivating knowledge workers. They are humanized work, self-management team, reasonable reward, and knowledge share. |
