| After world war Ⅱ, along with the development of free trade, the GATT and the WTO were founded. Global economy has become more and more closer. Each country, including the developed countries and the developing countries, contacts more frequently. They all throw themselves into the movement of economic globalization in order to benefit from it. But at the end of the last century, several economic crises erupted, especially the crisis happened in Southeast Asia in 1997 and lasted for a long time. Many countries lost large number of their fortunes during the crisis. These economic incidents remind people to pay more attention to the security of national economy. There are two different points of view about the economic globalization . To supporters, it's a beacon of free trade and beneficial growth, shining a light of hopeful promise into even the darkest corners of the developing world. To its opponents, it is the arch-enemy of worker's rights, environmental protection, biodiversity, national sovereignty and local economic control. As the economic globalization has been an accomplished fact, it is no use talking about whether to join it or not. Being a developing country, what we should do is to find how we could benefit form the economic globalization at the same time ensure our country economic security.In the theoretical field, there has been dispute between the liberalism theory and the trade protection theory. Benefit of different country is the parent of this dispute. Generally speaking, the developed countries hold on the liberalism theory, while the developing countries agree with the trade protection theory. The former think that the internal divided work is the basic of internal trade. Standing by the side of the developing country,the latter think that the developing country trail the developed country, so that they should carry out proper trading protect policy to help develop their national economy. While referring to the research result of trade theory and combining the realistic development with the history of world economic, this dissertation has probed deeply into the inferior status and economic risk of developing countries in economic globalization in the purpose of providing some suggestions for our development of foreign trade and economy. Now let us look at the structure of this paper. First, this paper analyzes the presence and development reasons of economic globalization, then it discusses in detail the development of the theoretical basis (liberalism theory) and practice basis (trade liberalization after world war Ⅱ). Moreover, the paper focuses on the theoretical foundation and realistic significance of trade protection theory which is opposite to the liberalism. Finally, it provides policy suggestions for national economic security of our country .This dissertation has four parts.In the first part of this paper, the author has introduced the presentation and development reasons of economic globalization. First of all, we give a brief definition to economic globalization, and distinct it from the internationalization of economic and integration of economic. After reviewing the historical development process of economic globalization, we begin to expatiate performance forms of economic globalization which include six aspects as followed:1. Deepen trade globalization, advanced liberaliztion extent, enlargened scale.The international division of labor has been furthered, and the multinationals have promoted the globalization of production and2. management.3. The capital flows more quickly among countries while the scale of capital has been enhanced.4. The liberalization of financial market, financial instuition and financial regulation.5. Economic globalizaion is characteristic of the globalization of economic information.6.
