In this paper, the writer analyses the reason that cause the cooperation relationship between the manufacturer and the supplier firstly. Then this paper discusses the significance of the cooperation relationship to the partners taking part in the cooperation and how to build it. Thirdly the paper analyses the enlightenment of the cooperation relationship to domestic enterprises according to the actual conditions at home and the limits that restrict the establishment of the cooperation relationship at present.This paper consists of three chapters: The springing up of cooperation relationship; Establishing the cooperation relationship between the manufacturer and the supplier; Probing into establishing the cooperation relationship for domestic enterprises.Chapter 1 is divided into three parts. The first one begins with the analysis of the changing competition circumstances and the confinements of the general competition strategy. Then it is presented that cooperation and competition co-exist between the enterprises in new economic circumstance.The second part introduces the definition of the cooperation from the economic point of view. Cooperation refers to those consistent conducts that can cause the profit maximum according to the market rule by the relevant coordinate economic unit during the process of pursuing the economic profit. The research on the relevant theory of cooperation is also reviewed in this part. such as Economics,Management,Game Theory and so on.In the third part, the paper analyses the disadvantages of the strategy on Vertical Integration. After introducing the theory of Core Competence, Outsourcing and Supply Chain Management, the paper proceeds toestablish the cooperation relationship between the manufacturer and the supplier.Chapter 2 contains three parts. It discusses the establishment of the cooperation relationship between the manufacturer and the supplier. In the first part, after analyzing the disadvantages of the traditional relationship between the manufacturer and the supplier, it presents that this relationship is based on the division of the labor among the enterprises. The cooperation relationship is also defined as the coordination relationship that leads to sharing information,risk and profit between the manufacturer and the supplier. It makes the organization to unite and create new value. At the end of this part, the significance of establishing the cooperation relationship is elaborated.In the second part, the selection of partner is discussed. There are three elementary rules to direct the selection: The common view of value; Selecting the partner from the existing businesses; There being potential to produce new value for all parts. Moreover, it elaborates the selection of partner from different angle: manufacturer and supplier.The establishment of cooperation relationship is discussed from three aspects in the third part. The first is that three factors are fundamental for successful cooperation relationship. They are Creating new value,Trusting each other and Drawing up the cooperation plan. The second aspect is sharing information and communication between the partners. In the end, it discusses how to form a work-team to fulfill the plan.Chapter 3 probes into the establishment of cooperation relationship for domestic enterprises. In this chapter, the first part discusses the enlightenment of the cooperation relationship for domestic enterprises: Setting up the cooperation concept; Transforming from traditional relationship to cooperation relationship; Speeding up the pace ofinformation system building for enterprises; Improving the method of selecting supplier; Building the Core Competence and Core Product. The second part presents that the domestic enterprises should be developed through international cooperation in the background of joining the WTO.
