To achieve continuous development and improvement as well as lasting competitiveness, it is very essential for a company to have a set of scientific and standardized human resources management system, especially a set of human resources management system that focuses on motivating employees. As the strategic resources of a modern enterprise, human resources are the key factors for the enterprise's development. Employee motivation is a main content in the human resources management. It refers to using every effective method to stimulate employees' activity and creativity, thus to motivate them to use efforts to complete the company's task and to reach the company's objective. From the above, we can see that whether motivation is appropriately used is a very important factor for a company's success. How to take advantages of employee motivating system has become a top issue confronted by many companies.Chengdu Aerotech Manufacturing Co., LTD is the first Sino-US joint venture in Chinese aviation industry. It was established in 1996. The Company introduced a whole set of American management systems into daily operation. It has several key department managers coming from the United State. The management systems introduced from United States serve as good reference from the point of systematic and scientific aspects. It laid a good foundation for the standardization of the company management. However, due to lack of experienced personnel, there are some parts of the systems that are not appropriately implemented in the specific operation, which results in poor achievements.Based upon actual operation of the human resources management in Chengdu Aerotech, the dissertation made a general introduction to theCompany's human resources management system from the point of employee motivation, analyzed the worth-referring and deficient points, and made suggestions on how to improve the motivativity of the company's current human resources management system. The writer wishes the analysis and explanation serve as useful references for other enterprises.The dissertation is divided into six parts. The first part is an introduction that includes the definition of Motivation, exposition of motivation theories, and brief introduction of Chengdu Aerotech Company. In the second, third and fourth parts, the dissertation introduced the employee motivation in Chengdu Aerotech's human resources system from different aspects such as pay and benefit, training and performance management; analyzed the advantages and deficiencies in these aspects from the point of employee-motivation and made relevant suggestions. Part Five made a supplementary introduction on other employee-motivating methods. Part Six pointed out that the company motivation policy should be based on the company strategy and should be improved according to employees' needs.Overall, human resources management is not only an art of managing people, but also an art of stimulating the human enthusiasm and activity by using scientific methods and flexible systems. Regardless the character of a company, its development is closely related to human creativity and activity. In order to be successful, companies have to take serious attitude to employee motivation, consider every motivating method together with its objective, and change old fashioned thinking methods. In this way, a company will establish an open motivation system that fits for the characteristics of the company and the trend of the times as well as meets the demand of the employees.
