With the entry into the WTO,the enterprises in China are more and more impinged with the integrated global economy. They will compete with foreign enterprises at the same horizon. Compared with them,china enterprises have many disadvantages,such as nonstandard operation,personnel surplus,low efficiency. The key to the solution is how to standardize operation,enhance efficiency,motivate and make full use of the talent.This paper discussed employee motivation in HRM comprehensively and consisted of six chapters.Chapter one stated the importance of employee motivation and chapter two briefly introduced motivation theories,such as the theories of A.W.Maslow F.Herzberg C.Alderfe D.C.McClelland and L.W.Porter-E.E.Lawler.Chapter three discussed one aspect of material motivation,using the reward system and performance evaluation as tools. And chapter four discussed another aspect of material motivation,using the employee-stock-ownership and stock option as tools,in order to build the long-term motivation system.Chapter five discussed the relationship between the employee development and employee motivation.Chapter six further discussed what should be paid attention to in employee motivation.
