On Economic Globalization And China's Countermeasures

Now the economic globalization dominated by the developed countries has become overwhelmingly the prevailing trend in the whole world. As an objective trend of economic development in current times, the economic globalization has engaged more and more attention of all governments in the world, and more and more international institutes and researchers. The economic globalization is a movement as well as a process. It represents and results from the ceaseless development of social productive forces and science and technology. It represents that all kinds of economic resources and production factors break through the national boundaries, flow freely and combine reasonably in the whole world. It is a status or a process that the economies of all the countries open to and merge with each other and then advance to a global market.With the occurrence of technology evolution, the establishment of market economy system in the whole world, the rapid development of the transnational corporation and the continuously enhancement of the function of international economic organization, the economic globalization has developed rapidly from the nineties of the 20th century. It can be seen from that the international division of work deepens and refines, the production globalizes, the world trade and investment grow rapidly and the international finance globalizes day by day. Now the economic globalization has advanced to a great extent and in a great depth, it has exerted influence to some different extent on the world politics, the international relationship, the world economy, the culture, the thinking mode of people and many other aspects. To different country, the influence exerted by the economic globalization differs greatly. The developed countries benefit greatly from the economic globalization since they are the propeller and the participator of the economic globalization. By contraries, the developing countries are confronted with developing opportunities as well as severe challenges for the economic globalization. How to evaluate correctly the economic globalization and how to make use of its positive function to bring much more positive effect and at the same time to restrain its negative influence to the least extent, is an urgent problem for each country to solve. As a developing country, China has been on the way of reforming and opening for more than twenty years. Now the economy of our country is developing steadily and the international competitiveness of our country is strengthening gradually, our socialist market economy has been a important part of the world economy. We can say our country has been involved in the economic globalization more and more deeply. The economic globalization consequentially will have effect on our national economy on the two aspects that the economic globalization is a god-given chance for our national economy development and on the other hand it is a severe challenge. How to understandthe economic globalization trend and figure out its influence on our country and how to choose the development strategy for our country is an important and urgent problem to study and to solve.In this thesis, at first the intention of economic globalization and its main phenomena is analyzed including the process and the origin of the economic globalization, the anti economic globalization etc. Then the far-reaching influence exerted by the economic globalization on the whole world is analyzed mainly including the influence on the world politics and international relationship, the influence on the economy and trade, the influence on the social ideology, the influence on different types of country in the world. At last, the chance and the challenge for our country to participate in the economic globalization is analyzed in detail and corresponding suggestion on policy and developing strategy is proposed.
