In the process of financial globalization, the lack of financial derivative market stand in the way to a certain degree. Establishing and developing our own financial derivative market is becoming an important problem both theoretically and practically. Considering from the angle of institutional economics, we are not totally qualified to establish a financial derivative market, it is very risky to establish a financial derivative market at this time. But if we don't establish it at the right time, we will lose opportunities in the tide of the world economy. As an emerging market, we should solve many problems, especially informal institutions; the whole process should be put into careful reasoning. And the regulations and organizations should be scheduled very carefully. This dissertation regards the establishment and development of the financial derivative market as introduction and creation of an institute, uses the institutional economics as a tool, takes on research on those problems, and at the same time, uses the experience and lessons as reference, brings forward the measures according to the current situation of our country.
