Science Park, And Government Behavior

Because science park is playing the very important role in the processes of accelerating economic development and improving international competitiveness, the governments of different countries pay more attentions into the establishment and development of science park, especially, the governments of developing countries and regions even regard science park as the engine for catching up with developed countries in technology and economy, and in developing countries and regions the governments dominate the development of science park. In the situation of economic globalization and WTO entry, for the future of Chinese science park it is very important that how to define the position and the intervening pattern of government in the further development of science park. Based on the comparative analyses about the intervening patterns of foreign countries' governments in science parks , this paper analyses the development of Chinese science parks and the typical case of Shenzhen city, and discusses the relationship between science park and government behavior and the future institutional innovation of science park in China.
