Network Organization Theory Research

Organizational theory is an important branch of management and also is the common research field of management, economics and sociology and they communicate each other in the study process. The research topic of this paper is Network Organization (NO) which is the problem of organizational theory.In the modem age, the business enterprise has to be faced with the greater challenges of the new economic than ever. The quick-changing marketing needs put forward new claim to the enterprise which is going to survive and develop in the competition. Flexible management, humanism management, customer-oriented, quick-responding, resources- coordination and information technology, have become the critical elements to the business enterprise, nowadays. The traditional organizational structure and operational ideas have to be reformed and innovated. The business enterprise has to implement reformation to its original structure, which means it must innovate to fit in with the quick, complex and varied needs of new economic. NO, based on the information techniques, is one of the most important innovation and its theory has become the new subject in the field of management at the same time.The author firstly puts forward the theory system of NO and picks up the research frame, and then studies the formation of NO on the basis of organizational management and transaction cost economic. Through the full analysis of present documents, the author reaches the definition of NO, makes a thorough analysis of its characteristics from the aspects of complexity, studies the essence of NO by the means of Governance theory, obtains basic forming factors of NO from the aspects of structuralism and studies the bases, models and mechanism of its operation. Finally, the author studies the types of NO and makes a deep analysis of the background, definition and characteristics of the three important forms including 10 which is the main innovation in this paper, VO and SA.
