China Eastern Airlines Flight Professional Ethics Study

If credit is considered as spirit of airline transportation company, then in no doubt safety is the cornerstone of the credit. For an airline company, safety is the key factor for evaluation. Any safety accident would not only damage public directly, but also give airline company unpredictable damage on credit and subsistence. Professional ethic of flight attendants (such as professional morality, technical ability, professional capacity etc.) is the most important factor that affects safety of airline. China Eastern Airline Company is one of the three main airline companies in China. Based on the background of nationalized company, a valuable topic is how to enhance construction of professional ethic for better airline safety in such circumstance.The paper uses general ethic theory to study the relationship between construction of professional ethic of flight attendants and airline safety in China Eastern Airline Company, a nationalized airline company. Based on investigation of professional ethic, the paper analyses the fact of professional ethic construction in China Eastern Airline Company and current problems. It also points out the principle, method and solution to enhance professional ethic construction and suggests to create "studying-type flight crew". The author considers the suggestion as a systematic, effective and practical way to improve construction of professional ethic and believes that it will make further effect on safety management and ideology-related work, although it can not solve all ethic problem of airline crew radically.
