Honesty-credit is the traditional virtue of the Chinese people ,which has been praised and extoled sinse the ancient times and regarded as the basis a person's career and a nation politics. In our national economic development. At present, two civilizations have; been built up while people are striving for being rich and the morality of honesty-credit are setting up step by step ,still we must notice the phenomena of the lack of the honesty-credit in the areas of the healthy development of our nation. Therefore, in this article the author is going to talk about several problems related with the building of our national honesty-credit under the social democracy circumstances of the market economy.In the first section, the author thows a light on the definition "honesty-credit", regarding it as a category of ethics which has been resisting since the ancient times. Furthermore, the author compares honesty-credit with other relevant conceptions, making an effort: to clarify the scientific significance of it.In the second section, the author probes into the individual and the social value of honesty-credit clarify the significance of it a family, the foundation of a nation , and the soul of the economy.In the third section, the author points out the serious problems of the lack of honesty-credit and gives some examples to explain the phenomena and the damage of the lack of honesty-credit in terms of the economy, the politics and the culture.hi the fourth section, the author analyses the phenomena of the lack of honesty-credit and finding the causes of it. He thinks there are many reasons for the crisis,for example, the political system is premature ,the negative effect of the hypocrisy in traditional culture ,the simplification and function of the moral education ,the social credit messages are unsymmetrical, the government actions are unstand, the legal system is imperfect and so on.In the fifth section ,the author finds some way to solve the problemls efficiently as following:(l) The ethic education should be intensified in order to enhance the sense of abiding by credit. (2) The legal system should be perfected so as to strenghthen the guarantee of the law. (3) The system of supervosing and evaluating should be set up and perfected. (4) The government's affection should be brought into play. (5)The enterprises'functions should be enhanced.
