Along with the establishing and consummating of socialism market economy, the enterprise becomes the independent and main body of the market economy. What the orientation of value should the enterprise establish is an important and historical problem. Enterprise-Collectivism is the soul of Bao Steel's ethical spirit and the value-orientation of Bao Steel's management. A positive study for Bao Steel is very necessary because state enterprise can benefit from its experiences. Focusing on how Bao Steel set up its value-orientation, this thesis emphasizes the necessity of state enterprise's value-orientation, which is established at the height of the views of righteousness and interest and based on the analysis of its status and the theoretical hold of its meaning. This is the theoretical plat for the whole study.The thesis is divided into three parts: the first part introduces the course of the construction, stage achievements, present status of Bao Steel. The second part first discusses the views of righteousness and profit to give the whole study a theoretical foundation. And then illustrates that under the situation of market economy, state enterprise must catch the meaning of new views of righteousness and profit based on the realization of the real status. On one hand, the problem about what orientation should the state enterprise establish produces through an analysis on the social and mental root of views of righteousness and profit. On the other hand, the meaning of the new views of righteousness and profit and Enterprise-Collectivism are proved. The third part is a specific study on Bao Steel's ethical spirit. Enterprise-Collectivism is not only an ethical principle of Bao Steel'sexterior orientation dealing with the relation of nation, society andmarket, but also an principle of its interior management of dealing withthe relation between the collective and employees. It is a contribution for Bao Steel to catch hold of the commensal relation of the enterprise and the employees, and regard the comprehensive and free development of individual as the core of the Enterprise-Collectivism. This makes Bao steel far more predominant than capitalism enterprise. In the end, the thesis prospects the vista of Bao Steel's advanced ethical culture.
