In the Iraq war, launched jointly by U.K and U.S.A on 19th march, 2002, the regime under Saddam has been overthrown, which gets parts of the strategy of U.S.A realized basically. However, most of the European allies of U.S.A presented unique performances in several periods of U.S.A and U.K's shaping their war against Iraq, who have kept in alliance with U.S.A since WWII. As we know, the Euro-American relations are not always on smooth road, especially, when the world gets into the post-cold war era, the conflicts between the European countries and U.S.A develop further on scale and in degree. This phenomenon is reflected, mainly, in the conflicts caused by the Iraq war. In this essay ,the author begins with the conflicts between the European and U.S.A on Iraq war, concludes the concrete reflections in two periods, gets back to the conflicts in history, summarizes the conflicts in other aspects and then explores the causes and consequences and also makes some predictions on the development of Euro-US relationship.
