Shenzhen is the first and most typical especial economy region. During the past 20 years of struggling, the city is mainly composed of immigrants, and its economy is on top of all of the big-middling cities of China. The Fifth Census in 2000 shows that the population of minorities is approximately 225,000, and it grows faster than Han does. The population of minorities in Shenzhen is the most in all the cities in Guangdong Province, meanwhile, Shenzhen has become the second city that 56 minorities live in besides Beijing.Shenzhen is the front line of the policy of the innovation and being open, the population of minorities grows rapidly, which is unexpected. So, in this new status, it becomes more important to know that how could make the Shenzhen turn into the window that brings forth the theory of minorities of Communist Party and Chinese government than ever. Under this situation, it is imperative to know the relationship between ethnic groups, and develop the policy of ethnic groups. The problem of the ethnic groups in Shenzhen comes forth along with the immigration of the minorities. And, the relationship between ethnic groups in Shenzhen has different features compared with other cities. Investigating the relationship between Shenzhen ethnic groups is significant to interpreting the relationship between ethnic groups in Zhujiang drainage area. Further more, it can be a reference to other regions of China. It is because that, as a pioneer city in China, the relationship between ethnic groups in Shenzhen is representative. The existing problems of the relationship betweenethnic groups in Shenzhen will emerge in other cities gradually. So, it has special historical and practical significance to focus on the investigation of the relationship between ethnic groups in Shenzhen and the measures resolving the problems of ethnic groups.The thesis has not gone deep into the relationship between ethnic groups for some reasons. It divides into four sections. Section l,the introduction, consists of two parts, these are the survey of Shenzhen and the ethic groups respectively. In section 2 the author focuses on the characters of the population of minorities and the relationship between ethnic groups. The minority population is composed of the young people who are high intelligence. Most of them live separately and temporary and come from different regions. The relationship between ethnic groups has rive characters: complex and sensitively, relating to many aspects, variety, affecting to each other, demonstrating. Section 3 discusses the complications affecting the relationship between the ethnic groups by the actual data and the thorough investigation. The reasons why the problems of the relationship between ethnic groups come into being are discussed especially. There are the reasons of economy, idealistic, and the delay of the work on the ethnic groups. Section four is mainly some assumes and some suggestions about how to the present problems and construct the positive relationship between ethnic groups in Shenzhen. In conclusion, the author gives some daring forecasts.
