Chaoshan Area Industrial Structure Reconstruction

Area industry structure is main part of area economic development, and one of important factors of affecting economic increasing. So it has attracted geographers' and economists' attention, and has been one of research hotspots.This paper reviews the research on industry structure of our country and foreign, and sums up commonly rule of industry structure development. Then it discusses internal mechanism of industry restructure. Based on these theories, this paper analyses industry structure in Chaoshan completely and deep, qualitatively and quantitatively from macrocosmic, mid-crosmic and microcosmic view. It thinks that Chaoshan is in the course of early or middle industrialization, that opportunities are in company with challenges, and that problems are in company with advantages. Low-class, over-competition and noncooperation have blocked economic development in Chaoshan badly. The area industry structure is starving for restructure.At the view of incorporation, the paper believes that it is the core task industrializing to enhance the level of industry structure and cooperating for double winning. It draws the outline of industry restructure in Chaoshan around the core task. Major viewpoints and conclusions are as follow:1 The essence thought of industry restructure in Chaoshan is to base itself upon comparative advantages, to pay attention to industry cooperation between areas, aad to realize industrialization "half step but cut it" and gradually.2 The target of industry restructure in Chaoshan is "stabilizing the primary industry, strengthening the secondary industry and optimizing the tertiary industry".3, The mostly matter of industry restructure in Chaoshan is to solve two important problem: "What develop" and "How develop". In fact of Chaoshan, these problems may be embodied the follow five questions: basic orientation of industry, selection of leading or superiority industry, cooperation between areas, mode of industry development and key industries of three cities own.4 The basic orientation of industry in Chaoshan is to develop labor-intensive industries and to act as a factory mostly.5 Fishery is the superiority industry in the primary industry in Chaoshan; Finance and insurance, real estate trade and tourism are the superiority industries in the tertiary industry; Chemistry, medicine, architecture, timbering, food processing, food manufacturing, machine manufacturing, and electron and communicate equipment...
