Based On The Supply Chain, Material Supply Management Strategies And Systems To Achieve

With the increasingly intensive market competition, manufacturing profits are more and more limited to improve through the first profit source (reducing consuming cost of manpower and material) and the second profit source (increasing price and marketing sale quantity). So material supply costs and material supply management expenses that take considerable proportion in cost should be focused on. Material supply management becomes the third profit source to increase enterprise benefit.Supply chain management (SCM) is attached more and more importance recent years, as a new development stage of logistics management Manufacturing enterprise reasonably utilizes SCM theory in material supply management to optimize material supply management. It increases purchasing efficiency, controls the quality of purchasing material, decreases overstock of inventory financing, increases velocity of material inventory and reaches the aim of controlling costs and improving profits.Taking material supply management of Dalian Steel&Iron Corporation as example, flow optimization of material supply management under the environment of SCM, information integration and system implementation are mainly discussed in this paper, which takes SCM-based material supply management as study task. The main contents are as follows:1.Theories of SCM are discussed and the conflict between existing enterprise running pattern and ideas of SCM is analyzed. Method to improve enterprise supply chain is put forward, using the analysis method of value activity2.Combining with SCM ideas with the practice of material supply management of Dalian Steel&Iron Corporation, the means of "zero inventory" management for main materials and corresponding implementary methods are presented, and organization structure is reconstructed meantime.3.The model of integrated material supply management orienting to supply chain is presented, and information high integration among production, sale, financing, quality, suppliers and material supply departments is realized.4.The integrative software frame of material supply management facing supply chain is presented. Combining with existing conditions of the material supply of Dalian Steel&Iron Corporation, the software of system is designed and developed.Material supply management system developed according to above is running in Dalian Steel&Iron Corporation. It effectively realizes information integration of enterprise material supply management, improves processing ability for data and business, reduces material purchasing cost effectively, improves material quality, reduces material inventory quantity, and obtains favorable application effect.
