Study Of Knowledge-based Economy Measure Method

The Knowledge-based Economy is a new developing thing to us. After the conception of Knowledge-based Economy was put forward and the word "Knowledge-based Economy" was in style, many countries and scholars begin to study on it. Then the questions occurred: What stage are developed countries in Knowledge-based Economy? How far does China reach to the Knowledge-based Economy? Which arithmetic figures does knowledge-based economy have? The prerequisite of solving these problems is the problems of measuring the Knowledge-based Economy, so, measuring Knowledge-based Economy is one of the most important parts of the emerging Science of Knowledge-based Economy. The discussion and study about the Knowledge-based Economy at present is superficial. The methods of quantitative analysis on Knowledge-based Economy are also in discussing. Though some scholars put forward some methods and theories, its effectiveness still remains to be improved. The incontrovertible method of measuring Knowledge-based Economy has not produced yet. Just because of this point, this paper tries to put forward a method to estimate the Knowledge-based Economy.The paper treats Knowledge-based Economy in two ways, that is the comprehension of the industry and economic model. On the first phase, when the influence of new technology is limited in the industry, Knowledge-based economy is information industry or knowledge industry and it is beneficial to state it from the point. On the second phase, when new technology influences the whole economy, Knowledge-based economy will become a new economic mode.There are five chapters in the paper:Chapter 1: In this part, the author introduces some basal argumentation of Knowledge-based economy, expatiates the two ways of understanding Knowledge-based economy.Chapter 2: The author introduces primary methods of measuring Knowledge-based economy, such as Machlu-porat system and some fruits of other scholars' research.Chapter 3: The paper brings forward a conception of the Knowledge-based Economy System, which includes Knowledge-based Serving Industry, Knowledge-based Industries, High-tech Manufactures, and Knowledge-based Agriculture. The paper brings forward a set of maneuverable measuring system made up of many indexes, which is helpful for us to face the challenge of the coming Knowledge-based economy age and to make future strategy.
