| Project management (PM)is a kind of new technology developed in the middle of the 20th's century. At the time of helping enterprises to shorten the time and reduce the cost, it can offer outcome of higher quality. With the development of information technology and the economy, It is now used in various fields of the society. Project management of software development is the appliance of project management in IT. This article will use Life Reinsurance System of China Reinsurance Company as an example to discuss how to do project management of software development in the insurance industry effectively. The first part introduces the characteristics of project management and its life circle. The second part discusses the application of PM in software exploitation. And then the third part analyzes PM of Life Reinsurance System of China Re Company including risk management, human resource management, schedule control and test management. The last part gives some suggestions to improve the project management of software exploitation in insurance industry in China. |
