Chinese companies started to go public listing in Hong Kong in 1990's. With the booming of China's economy and the deepening of China enterprises' reform, more and more Chinese companies choose Hong Kong stock market for their IPOs (Initial Public Offering). Such phenomenon also draws the attention of many domestic scholars. This thesis presents a systemic study and analysis from practical perspective on China logistics companies' IPOs in Hong Kong from four major aspects: the development of China logistics industry and IPO in Hong Kong, the inevitability of listing in Hong Kong, goals and models of IPO in Hong Kong, and key elements for a successful IPO in Hong Kong, which also form the four chapters of this thesis.Chapter One introduces the development of China logistics industry and Chinese enterprises' IPOs in Hong Kong, trying to outline the overall concept, history and current situation of logistics, logistics industry and China logistics company's IPO in Hong Kong, and giving readers a general idea of Logistics Concept Stock. Chapter Two focuses on the pros and cons comparisons between listing in mainland market and Hong Kong IPO. The disadvantages of A-share market are addressed, and the differences of listing concept and feasibility of Chinese logistics company's IPO in Hong Kong are analyzed. The immaturity of domestic investment environment, and the maturity of Hong Kong listing and corporate governance related concepts both lead to domestic companies' choice of Hong Kong market. Chapter Three illustrates different models of China logistics company's IPO in Hong Kong for different goals. A case study on SINOTRANS LIMITED IPO is used to discuss the Hong Kong IPO model of a China logistics company to reveal the key factors in determining corporate value. Chapter Four analysis several crucial elements in a successful China logistics company's IPO in Hong Kong through case study, and come to the authors' suggestions and comments on Chinese logistics company's IPO in Hong Kong.China logistics company's Hong Kong IPO is a comprehensive project, besides those mentioned in this thesis, issues of different categories like law, auditing, governmental approval, assets evaluation, land appraisal, etc., which cannot be all addressed in details in this thesis. Hope this thesis could be helpful for understanding the essential contents of China logistics company's IPO in Hong Kong, and suggestions can be served as a reference for China logistics companies or other types of companies to explore their value-maximization IPOs' strategies in Hong Kong.
