Foreign Direct Investment And China's Foreign Trade Analysis And Empirical Research

This thesis makes a systematic and relatively deep research on correlation between the economic phenomena of the large-scale growths of FDI flowing to China in term of general volume and rapid increasing of total amount of foreign trade since the reform and opening to the outside world. The combination of methodology of theoretical analysis and case study is used, first to illustrate theoretical mechanism of mutual development between FDI and international trade; then to verify correlation of FDI growth and the growth of total volume of China's foreign trade with adequate and detailed data and econometrics to demonstrate the effective promotion of FDI to the China's foreign trade structure from three aspects: structure of commodity, structure of nations, structure of trading, and finally to point out the existing problems of enterprises established through FDI on how to promote the development of China's foreign trade. This thesis also brings forward some practical countermeasures aiming at how to promote the development of China's foreign trade by using FDI.
