The Culture Of Tourism In China's Western Development Thinking

Tourism is a series of industries related to the services provided for tourists. Tourism has connection with tourists, patterns of travelings accommodation facilities and other variety of matters. It is a comprehensive concept, and it is in the process of development, transformation and unification.The foundation of tourism is tourist resources. There are three kinds of tourist resources in western paft of China. They are historical relics, cultures of national minorities and natural sceneries. Since the ecosystem in west China is damaged badly, I do not intend to advocate exploitation and utilization; instead, I'm calling on more attention on administration and protection. There're abundant cultural and historical relics in the west part of China, the problem is lack of overall protection, development and utilization. I suggest increasing investment and strengthening the support with human resources and financial input. The culture and natural customs of national minorities in the western part of China is endless resources, but we should pay attention to keep its original features. We'd pay attention to protect it. In addition, protection, development and utilization should be consonant with the benefits of local people. We'd contribute to the goal to let ordinary people get rich by giving them the chance to benefit from tourism industry.The key problem of tourism industry in west China is management. Administrators and managers (including related governmentdepartments) have no strategic vision. They seldom think about continuous development. Instead, they focus on shortsighted economic benefits; they don't know the needs of the target customers. Sometimes they even overlooked the real situation of China. Therefore, we should pay more attention to improve our service and management.The reason we discuss the cultural aspects of tourism under the background of "Develop the West", is that what tourism provides is leisure and enjoyment service. Consumers cannot go to traveling if they don't have leisure time and money. Developing the west can make people rich, tourism industry can also make people rich; only when people get rich, tourism industry can have more customers and make more money. The truth is so clear, but it's not so easy to reach balanced development.
