The Mao Era And The Political Participation Of The Post-mao China Farmers Compared

Great changes have taken place in China since the foundation of the new PRC. Particularly since the llth Third Plenary Session of the Central Committee of the CPC, the transformation of society in the economic system reform has enhanced the democracy of Chinese politics, and has given an institutional guarantee for the political participation of Chinese peasants. By such background ,the participation of Chinese peasants has a great difference between MaoZhedong period and post period of MaoZhedong. In this document, I make a comparative analysis of the two periods, and will analyse the society background, subject, aim, type, and field. And this analysis can help us to find out the influencing factors of the participation of Chinese peasants. Though the carding of the participation of Chinese peasants' venation and the finding of its regulation, we can bring forward some constructive advice to the participation of Chinese peasants. And all these analysis can promote the basic democratic construction of rural socialism and give a correct guidance to the participation of Chinese peasants in the new situation.
