| With a history of more than 20 years, Jiangsu Holly is a state-owned foreign trade company mainly dealing with import and export business. In recent years, some changes taking place in the world economy, such as economic integration, regionalization, corporate grouping, free trade as well as trade protectionism, together with China's accession to the WTO, while bringing about many developing opportunities to Jiangsu Holly, have posed a great challenge to the company's survival and development. So it is necessary to discuss the new development strategy for Jiangsu Holly under the circumstances.Starting with its general business situation, this paper summarizes Jiangsu Holly's business successes and shortcomings in the past, discusses the new changes in the international, domestic and industry background as well as their impact on the company's business. It then presents the current state and the problems the company faces and analyses their causes. On the basis of this, it puts forward some pertinent and operative counter measures. Finally, this paper probes into Jiangsu Holly's business development strategies in the new environment form the aspects of the company's operating mechanism, market positioning, core competence, capital operation, technical innovation, and strategic alliance. |
