East Asian Regional Economic Cooperation Mechanism

Along with the quick development of world economy globalization, regional economic cooperation and regional economy integration has also picked up the speed. More and more countries join in Regional Economic Cooperation Organization, to expand cooperation with others in the region, to improve their economy increase. This paper reviews the current regional economic cooperation system in East Asia, studies the development motive and theoretical basis of East Asia Regional Economic Cooperation, highlighting its characteristics different from those of the traditional economic cooperation system. On the basis of it, the paper studies the development trend of it. In addition, the paper points out and studies the contradictions and insufficiencies in the cooperation system, probes into the approaches to further boost and improve the East Asia regional economy cooperation system. Since East Asia regional economic cooperation is of key strategic importance to our economic development, China should play an active role in it and improve it. On the basis of the current situation in China, the paper probes into the major approaches to which China participates into the East Asia regional economic cooperation.
