In the era of globalization and economic integration,East Asian countries have developed a fruitful regional cooperation through the push of financial crisis in an order to strengthen the competitiveness and ability to cope with crisis.Politically,taking “ 10+3” Summit and East Asia Summit as platform,East Asian countries have had dialogues and exchanges in multilevel and fields.Economically,they take ASEAN Economic Community as starting point,use “10+1” FTA among China,Japan and Korea as pillar and build East Asia FTA as future economic cooperative networks.They take ASEAN forum as platform and hold conversation on regional safety.The United States,as an important outside power who has special interest in East Asia,will make a profound influence to the development of East region.The United States government has adopted various strategies to cooperate with East Asia countries on the basis of international and national situation and East Asia's state of development.During the period of George Administration when the cold war just finished,The United States stopped the regional cooperative initiative in the East Asian countries as it may threaten America's domination status.During the period of Clinton Administration,take Asian financial crisis as a example,before the crisis,America government played an active role in regional and economic cooperation,however,after it,America kept silence to the rising cooperation between East Asian countries in an order to self-protection.During the period when Walker Bush took his administration,he adopted unilateralism and focused on Middle East issue and anti-terrorism,so that East Asian Region was “ignored” for quite a time.During Obama's Administration,he came to realize that cooperate with East Asia can help recover US's influence in East-Asia as well as weaken China's influence in this region.Obama Administration hopes that they could reshape the cooperation trend in this region by moving TPP negotiation and enhance bilateral alliances.Obama Administration has obtained amount of profits by adjusting their strategies to Asia.Politically,TPP negotiation can lead to growth in the U.S.Economy and enable America to dominate the rules of World trade and broken the Asian-cooperation situation without the joining of America.In the aspect of security,the US has confirmed the East Asia's alliance system,extended new partnerships and exerted pressure to China.Still,their strategies have shortcomings,for instance,their moves have made ASEAN complain about America in politics,and economically,TPP has arose huge controversy within US.Besides,increased competition happened between China and America.Making an assessment for Obama Administration's cooperation with East Asia,not only can we understand their strategy in an all round way but also provides a guide to foresee Trump Administration's strategies to East Asia.
