With the forthcoming fierce competition, the tourism enterprise must raise its management to a high level through M&A (Merger & Acquisition), which calls for theoretical support. That is where the article could do something and will do something. The article makes an analysis and evaluation of the theoretical conclusion about the M&A mode of tourism enterprises in the second part. Then the article gives a new classification and explanation of the M&A mode of the tourism enterprises on the basis of the M&A history and current situation of tourism enterprises. The article compares the performance of horizontal M&A, vertical M&A and conglomerate M&A through a positive research. The conclusion drawn from the analysis of the article is that the horizontal M&A mode and conglomerate M&A mode have an evident improvement on the performance of tourism enterprise, meanwhile, the vertical M&A mode seems no compatibility with tourism enterprises. According to the drawn conclusion and the characteristics of the managing of different types of tourism enterprises, the article demonstrates the best M&A modes for hotel enterprise, travel agency and the scenic spot enterprise. The article also gives a statement of the possible problems three types of tourism enterprises may encounter while implementing the M&A mode and the countermeasure to them. The article, in the end, gives a generalization of the main points mentioned in the lines.
