The Study On The Actuality, Problem And Countermeasure Of The Plan Of University Students' Volunteers To The West

In our country, it's not a long time for us to formally use the word "volunteer". But the tradition and ideology of the voluntary service exist long. In the early years in 1990S, accompany with the course of building the socialism market, the voluntary service was first developed by youth. Our Chinese nation always has the good traditional virtue of helping the poor and caring for the needy, so the voluntary service was once sparked out and implemented, it wins broad support and active response, especially the university students, who are the most active ,positive and lively group of society. They exercise the most important and pioneer effect in promoting our domestic voluntary service.The voluntary spirit, which is rewarded for nothing and self-giving, infiltrates through all aspects ,including the plan of volunteers'helping for each other, protecting the mother river and undergraduates going to the country in the summer vocation and so on. Even the plan of University Students' Volunteers to the West .In June 2003,with the support of the ministry of finance and personnel ,the Chinese communist and ministry of education organize this plan. Alleviating the stress for undergraduates' finding jobs, improving their exist ability, promoting the social and economic development of the west are its substance.Till now, this plan has got many achievements, but there are some problems as well. Such as the policies of the government are not perfect; the support of social circles are not enough; the role of volunteers are not fully played and so on .So it's very significant to analyze and study on it.
