Cangyuan County Ding Weng Wa Cultural And Ecological Village Tourism Development

As one of the minority nationalities in Yunnan, the Va people created colorful and distinctive culture, which provided valuable cultural resources for Yunnan tourism. However, up to now, researches about the culture focuses only on such spheres as anthropology, ethnology, sociology, history etc. Lack of theoretical and practical studies from the angle of tourism remains a large space to develop for both research and development of the culture. That's why this thesis comes into being. Taking Wengding Village, Cangyuan County as example, a typical traditional Va village, the author tried to develop culture, society, economy and environment harmoniously while the culture being well protected and propagated based on cultural ecotourism.Except for preface, the article consists of six chapters and four parts.The 1st part (the 1st chapter): It gave a brief introduction about the basic frame of the article, including motivations, contents, methods, ideas and significances of research for the text.The 2nd part (the 2nd-3rd chapter): This part provided a detailed description on development and research of village tourism. The 2nd chapter analyzed studying progress of village tourism made by different scholars. The 3rd chapter summarized the idea, method, pros and cons of existing development types of village tourism, and pointed out that ethnic cultural ecotourism is the necessary stage for sustainable development of village tourism. Meanwhile, the chapter generalized three different senses of value and their manifestations, development, advantages and disadvantages. And concluded that cultural ecotourism village is the best way to protect Va culture effectively and develop it in sustainable.The 3rd part (the 4th-5th chapter): It's the key part in which the author tends to make some breakthroughs. The 4th chapter pointed out that cultural ecotourism is the best choice for well protecting and developing the Va culture in Wengding Village after analyzing the spatial distribution, characteristics, current situation and potential of development for the Va culture. Based on the detailed analysis of Wengding Village's regional background, cultural tourism resources, customer market, the 5th chapter provided a scheme of how to develop the Va cultural products and commodities, the relevant supporting systems, and design the tourist routes on the guiding of theoretical research in the former part.The 4th part (the 6th chapter): The last part provided the positive results and the problems remains for further research, and a brief prospect for development of village tourism in the future.According to the author, there are two breakthroughs in this essay. Firstly, the article made a detailed analysis about the existing types of development for village tourism from the angle of sense of value, from which Wengding Village drew lessons to develop cultural ecotourism. Secondly, through investigate resources, environment and economic conditions of the village, the author provided the developing model of "government + enterprise + travel agency + villager" and the developing method of "expand local economy, improve living standard, protect human's heritage, develop ethnic culture" for cultural ecotourism of Wengding Village.
