Elements Of The Complex Product Systems Outsourcer Evaluation Study

With the economic globalization and the rapid information technology development, the nature of technology innovation takes some change from simple innovation to integration innovation. In the background the scholars of European Union proposed a new innovation research field, which is complex products and systems (CoPS) innovation based technology integration. According to our statistical data, outsourcing is the important way and method in complex products and systems innovation. The study concerned with the composition of outsourcing performance, the factors influencing performance, and the relationship between influencing factors and performance.There were two stages in this study. At the first stage, after reviewing the literature, the author defined and interpreted the two concepts of CoPS and outsourcing, established the analysis model, and then conducted some interviews to test and verify the design of the analysis model. In the second stage, ninety-three samples were surveyed through questionnaires to do statistic analysis.The conclusion of this paper shows the resource of production infrastructure, the resource of technology infrastructure, the collaboration relationship, the difference between the culture and the consistency between the strategy vision all influence positively the outsourcing performance of CoPS from several different perspective. The paper demonstrates that in detail (1) the human resource, the production resource and the researchers and engineers participating all influence positively the outsourcing performance, which shows the human resource and the production resource are key elements to input to CoPS, which are the same as the traditional large scale product; (2) the influence of the finance performance and the obligation of each other to the outsourcing performance isn't significant, whether negative or not positive, but it is notes the excellent finance performance is required to the outsourcer; (3) during the development the participants incline to obey the duty of each other established early, which can be of great benefit toimproving the quality of product; (4) the difference between the cultures and the consistency between the strategy visions can contribute to decreasing the prices of outsource, besides the production resource, the human resource and researchers input.; (5) the trust relationship each other can improve the quality of product and shorten the time spent in the outsourcing work; (6) the outsourcing performance is connected with the performance in customer and finance of complex products and systems, that is to say the result of outsource will influence the quality, the function and the sale income of CoPS.
