Contemporary Chinese Citizens' Political Participation, Motivation And Constraints Analysis

Abstract: Political Participation, as the realize way and important mark of democracy, is increasingly paid more and more attention to by the people. Based on the principle of action, any action is always controlled by some motive, but the produce and realize of motive is also restricted by some objective environment. In substance, Political Participation is the product of the dynamic interplay between the bodies' internal motive and external environment. In thesis, the author divided the motive of Political Participation into interest motive, faith motive, obey motive, and force motive, the constrictive factor into economic, political system, and culture. Then the author will contact with the development of our Political Participation to analyze the motive and restricted factors of citizen's Political Participation of China today. By analyzing, the author drawn a conclusion: the first, the interest motive is the most fundamental motive. When the interest motive holds the dominant station, the Political Participation will development basically along a more health way, or else, the development of Political Participation will suffer frustration. The historical experience indicates: the order of citizen's Political Participation can't make a mistake, the interest motive of citizen's Political Participation can't lake. The second, among the constrictive factors, economic is determinant factor. Political system makes directly effect on the motive of citizen's Political Participation. The culture also has a restrict effect on the motive of citizen's Political Participation. At last, according to the before analyze, the author puts forward some advise to perfect the motive of Political Participation.
