Corporation strategy is the generalization and highlights of various concepts held by a particular enterprise. The establishment of corporation development strategy is a necessary process during which the enterprise looks for its utmost goal, learns about its imminent requirements, understands its core principles, creates its basic value conceptions, develops and grows up.I'm from China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), a large state-owned enterprise directly managed by the Central Government. It has 15 subsidiary companies, 1 share-holding list company, 4 major business divisions and 26 overseas offices. It's a corporation group majoring in road and bridge projects. Its preexistence was the Foreign Aid Office under the Ministry of Communications. Started from 1950's, the Foreign Aid Office undertook overseas civil engineering projects under the foreign-aid programs.Since 1979, our corporation has undertaken more than 500 engineering projects or labor service contracts, amounting to USD 5 billions. From 1985, CRBC has been listed among the Top 225 International Contractors by ENR (Engineering News Record, USA), and was ranked No. 69th for the year 2002.The latest trends in international contracting markets have raised new requirements to enterprises. Having struggled many years in the international contracting markets, CRBC Overseas also faces new problems and challenges. The deep-rooted conflicts in the enterprise managing mechanism are emerging, the global economic situations are changing, the process of economic globalization is accelerating, and the "Go Overseas" policy in China is followed by many enterprises. Hence, CRBC Overseas needs to constantly analyze the changing business environments, adopts new measures and development strategy, grasps fresh opportunities and wins more successes.
