Xi'an Software Industry Competitiveness Evaluation

With the adjustment to the new technology industry structure and supported by the central and local governments, china's software industry develops rapidly. The software industry has been the high-light. In the background of the software industry being the dominant industry, How to evaluate Xi'an software industry competence and establish its competitive status has been the problem that need to research.Based on the analysis of the development situation of domestic and international software industry, the paper explores the Xi'an software industry's present situation and problems and summarizes the related research about industry competence and its evaluation indexes. On the definition of the regional software industry competence, combined the characteristic of software industry and referred the domestic and international industry's competitiveness evaluation index system, the 38 theoretical evaluation indexes are formed. By the means of the experts appraisal and discrimination analysis and information repetition analyses, the evaluation indexes system of the regional software industry competence is constructed. Based on the empirical study of by SPSS statistics software, an evaluating model is established by principal components analysis. After calculating the competence scores of industry input, industry output, marketing performance, technology innovation and development environment by applying the evaluation model, the paper makes some empirical analysis and preliminary evaluation on the Xi'an software industrial competence. Finally, several related recommendations are advanced to promote the competence in the software industry of Xian.
