Evaluation Based On Dea Effectiveness Of The Flower Industry

With the integration of global economy, people's consuming standard is increasingly enhanced, as a rising sun industry full of energy, flora industry is showing great function in our economic society, which is identified with everyone. So its evaluation problem is also put to important agenda. Since flora industry is a complicated system with multiple input and output, and its evaluation is related to many problems that need objective and comprehensive analysis, we have to adopt a suitable evaluation method.Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is an objective, comprehensive and quantitative method, a new field researched by Operation Research Management Science and Symbolic Economics. Its main idea is to measure relative efficiencies among decision making units with mathematical programming model, and give comprehensive evaluations. DEA has great adaptability to complicated system with multiple input index and output index, so this method has been applied broadly to many fields concerned with society, science and technology, economy, and has achieved good results.The paper integrates fundamental theory of DEA with real situation of flora industry, my own viewpoints and implementation schemes are put forward on the basis of forefather' research. First, the problem is put forward, current research on related theory, research contents research outlines meanings and originalities are expounded and analyzed. Then, it mainly elaborates several basic theories of DEA, respectively from four aspects including terminology, C2R and C2GS2 model, characteristics and application steps. After that, flora industry evaluation index system based on DEA is come up with. After knowing the concept of flora and evaluation, importance of system, design source and principles, we confirm that plant area, flora market, flora peasant and flora enterprise are input indexes, sale and practitioner are output indexes. Finally, it carries out demonstration research on how to use DEA to evaluate efficiency of flora industry. Under the condition of obtaining flora industry data of Yunnan Province from 1998 to 2003 and main province and city in China from 2000 to 2001, it sets up C2R and C2GS2 model respectively, programs and acquires results with the help of large statistical software SAS, comprehensively analyzes restrictive factors that affectdevelopment of flora industry of Yunnan Province, and tells efficiency situation of flora industry of main province and city in China from 2000 to 2001.
