Imbalance Analysis Of China's Foreign Direct Investment Flows

From reform and open, joining the WTO especially, foreign direct investment in China increase rapidly, but from the announcement of the authorities, FDI is distributed unbalancely between regions, in this article, the writer uses Panel Data of 31 provinces of China from 1997 to 2003 and calculation analytical method to explain and analyze the factors that influence the area choice of FDI. It has been found that gross domestic product, per capita GDP, early years FDI, basic facilities level and special policies have positive relations with FDI, while average wage of staff and worker has negative relation with FDI. Then with these factors , the writer describes and classify the differents in outstanding achievement and potentialities of using FDI in 31 provinces. The conclusion is the factors from calculation analysis can explain unbalancely distribution of FDI. The different between this aticle and others as following:to begin with,the research method is not only calculation analytical method, but two stages.regress the causes of FDI area choic and analyze outstanding achievementand potentialities, then obtain the conclusions. Secondly, this article is more comprehensive than others.
