| Under present conditions, China is faced with the urgent needs of strategic readjustment of the economic structure. How to strengthen the combined industry-education-research mode and realize the objective of technology serving the society is the urgent problem for us.As the platform for technology transfer, base for business incubation and source of technological innovation, our college science parks (hereinafter referred to in shorthand as science parks or SPs) gained some achievement after more than 10 years' development and there are a few successful representative parks, which have made contributions to promote the regional economic growth.Though we affirm the achievement, we also ought to recognize the shortcomings of our SPs, particularly compared with foreign SPs, we still have a long way to go.So, in order to sum up the experience, learn from others and suggest the method of sustainable development, the author wrote this paper.This paper is made up of 4 sectors:1st sector: Introducing the origin, growth, development, present situation and functions of the college SPs in China.2nd sector: Discussing the effects of college SPs in the technological & talent transferring, high-tech business incubation, technological innovation and promotion of regional economy. There are some examples such as Tsinghua Science Park.3rd sector: Analyzing the lessons and experiences of the development of our SPs, and comparing them with foreign SPs.4th sector: Giving some suggestions for the sustainable development of our college SPs. |
