Enterprise distribution involves a series of activities that involve the product's transmission from producer to customer. The carrier of distribution is distribution channel, which also called sales access or sales channel.This article analyses the characteristics of distribution channel and its basic function from different points of view. Seeing from the changes of marketing concept and combining the two markets both in domestic and abroad, the article systematically analyses developing trends of distribution and distribution channel.The aggressive market competition is becoming more complicated and more difficult. This strengthens the importance of distribution channel. With more and more information on product sales, the interflow of commodities control, information communication, customer management and opinion feedback, the workload of collecting, arranging and controlling also grows day by day. But these tasks depend on the workers' handwork in many different departments. Thus work efficiency is low, information is not shared, human resources are wasted, and the accuracy of various data cannot be guaranteed. In addition, the information transmission channel is not smooth and the speed is slow and stagnant. Moreover, the transparency of interior sales management is comparatively low, particularly in the high consuming fields such as food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. A large number of sales personnel participate in them, well then how to control the management? How does the outstanding achievement embody? This will require us to carry on management of carefulization, and it goes without saying, the distribution management is more and more complicated. Sales distribution, as the key link of the enterprise's work and profit, plays an important role on value chain. All of the above factors have seriously influenced the realization of high efficient sales process, and bad management will lose good market opportunities. The practice has proved that informatization is the necessary choice. The new sales channel's expansion and development has greatly promoted the channel's revolution and has settled down the inefficiency of traditional channel, in the hope of working with the shortest supply chain, the quickest reaction chain and the lowest cost. The electron distribution pattern supported by informatization can deal with huge and more and more complicated system needs. First of all, depending on enterprise development strategy,to lay down enterprise's informatization strategy plan. In the principle of arranging layout and enforcement step by step, to plan the informatization project. Good planning will guarantee effective investment and reduce informatization investment risk in maximum. Project management, basing on management science and contacting the practice of IS system development, is a kind of management practice which pledges the engineering system development to be put into effect smoothly. It contains IS system's project evaluation, feasible analysis, personnel management, progress management, cost control and so on. In the carrying out the project of informatization, obtaining and analyzing the consumers' needs are very important. Because inadequate considering to implicit demand often causes the change of demand, we should also pay attention to the implicit demand or elicitation demand which derives from consumers' demand. Communication and training is an important step and link for software application. Without communication and training, no management software can be applied smoothly. This training for the use of software should consist of three levels: first to administrative personnel; second to maintenance personnel; and third to specific users. From the company's DRP construction, we gain some experience, which maybe has reference meaning for Changyu and other companies for the future.Enterprise informatization still has a very long way to go, and we should face the challenges practically and bravely.
