After China join WTO, foreign capital rush into our retail market and local retailers face new competition. It's a new challenge, and also a new chance.The article firstly analysis the advantage and challenge of foreign capital, development chances of local retailers, and my own company's advantage / disadvantage. Secondly, is the strategic goal of my company: keep modern department store as our main business, develop new business such as community shopping center and specialized stores, and to form a huge retail group company through license chain-store system. To reach the goal, we should learn management theory and experience from foreign retailers, and we should be creative in strategy, business style, organization, management as well as service, so as to realize the strategic transformation for a bigger development space.
