In Hangzhou Bay Regional Competitiveness Of The Manufacturing Cluster Study

In recent several decades, Industrial Clusters have developed to the highly characteristic organizing form of industrial economy in the development of world economy. The industrial clusters of Zhejiang Province have formed block economy and created great economic value, causing extensive interests in domestic and oversea academic field. Scholars analyze the phenomenon from different points of view, such as economics, management, geography, trade and so on. This text, adopting the analytical method of industrial clusters, consults GEM (Grounding-Enterprise-Marketing) framework to quantitatively analyze the tie industrial cluster in Shengzhou and the injection molding machine industrial cluster in Beilun. By comparative analysis and studying cases, we can examine the adaptability of GEM framework within scope of district, and sum up the advantages and disadvantages of native industrial clusters. We hope to offer good references to establish industrial policies and steps of local clusters.The manufacturing plays an important role in whole economy of Zhejiang Province. Taking into account of the fact of native, the government put forward an important strategy to construct specialized industrial clusters. This text, combining with the characteristics of manufacturing in Zhejiang Province especially in wreath of Hangzhou region, proposes to establish GEM framework and evaluate competitive ability of clusters by GEM framework. The text firstly introduces the backgrounds meaning and contents of the investigation, expatiates on connotations of industrial clusters systemically, educes the Diamond model investigating competitive ability of nation and GEM framework investigating competitive ability of region, on the basis of these two models then put forward our investigating model. Secondly, the text confirms the applying scope of the model and the coefficient of the determinants by the way of statistical investigation furthers a perfect model. Thirdly, the text puts up quantitative and comparative analysis between the tie industrial cluster in Shengzhou and the injection molding machine industrial cluster in Beilun.Finally, aiming at the problems existing in industrial clusters, the text puts forward strategies improving the competitive ability of clusters at two levels: government, enterprise. As for the government, it may focus on the following points: strengthen the establishment of software, strengthen the service function, and enhance cultivating talented people. As far as the enterprise cluster is concerned, the major task is to strengthen the collaboration with each other, keep the balance of competition and collaboration.
