Trade Associations act as an important role to coordinate the trade order, promotecommon benefit, maintain legitimate rights and interests .it is a social intermediaryorganization of non-for-profit, non-government, and mutual-win , giving play toimportant information and coordination function in social life. Chinese tradeassociations can be produced and developed under the double function that the inherentdemand of market economy and government function transformation.Investigating through the international experience and history, and analyzing Chineseand foreign growth of trade associations, this thesis finds the organization that runs wellin Chinese and foreign history, has not given play to due function in China up to now.Because the transition of power pattern has not totally made yet, the government willplay a leading role in the course of development not only now but also in longer period;government's policy orientation is indeterminate, making government's behavior havemultiple goals; The law can not ensure trade associations function to give play to. Theseshows there are some insufficient, which are function limiting, institutional frameworkweakening, identification deformity. The transition of trade associations becomes the inexorable trend. The innovativeexperience of Shanghai is to establish a special organization to break through existingdouble management system. But the transitionality with inherent mode of Shanghai hasput forward a new question again --transition direction of trade associations.By comparing with the evolvement of the state and social relationships, investigatingin the international vision three kinds of comparatively successful model of developedcountry of market economy, the thesis thinks that Japanese mode fit for Chinesefundamental realities and international environment, collaborationism makes thetransition be reality to Chinese trade associations comparatively.
