Petro China XX Sales Co. is one of the provincial affiliated branches of China Petroleum Sales Corporation. Its main business is the processed oil sales in XX province and the sales volume is about 1300000 tons every year. China formally opened the retail market of processed oil to foreign capital on December 11, 2004, fulfilling its commitment of WTO . In 2006, China will open the trade market of processed oil. By the end of 2004, China's processed oil consumption has ranked third in the world. It is forecasted that the demand will be increasing as a rate of over 4.5% per year in the next ten years. The tremendous market space provides a good development opportunities for processed oil sales companies .But at the same time, it attracts many international corporations and private-operated enterprises to the market, which leads to higher level of competition. Petro China XX Sales Co. has created its own delivery system. By analyzing the existing problems XX improved its delivery system according to delivery theory. After exploring the pros and cons of various ways of establishing goods vehicle delivery fleet in detail, XX decides to make good use of the third party logistics and outsource its delivery business to core carrier. By utilizing AHP ( the analytic hierarchy process) and FCEM(Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Method), XX well chose its transportation agent, which has reduced delivery costs and raised the efficiency and profits of gas stations. As to the region delivery problem, XX demonstrates the legitimacy of the location choice of some oil warehouses. Along with the application of delivery tactics, XX strengthens the management of customer relationship and solidifies its sales network. The article studies the delivery case of Petro China XX Sales Co. It focuses on the evaluation and choice of core carrier and the application of delivery tactics. I hope the article can provide some reference to other companies.
